About

Rebecca studies Intellectual Property law at Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, where she is a 3rd year (aka ready to be done) student. She kind of liked the whole #AssLaw kerfuffle because it appealed to her sense of the absurd. We like big suits and we cannot lie!

Before going to law school, which seemed like a good idea at the time, Rebecca covered entertainment and religion (which aren’t as different as one might think) as a writer/blogger/journalist. Her writing appeared in places like the Washington Post and USA Today, her voice squawked on radio and podcasts, and her face invaded television screens. She still keeps up with movie criticism, and is a card-carrying member of the Washington DC Film Critics Association and a Tomatomometer Critic on RottenTomatoes.

Rebecca is (whispering) conservative. She is a Senior Contributor to TheFederalist and a Policy Fellow at the American Conservative Union. She may believe free markets and adherence to the Constitution is the best way for the country to prosper, but she loves sharing a beer with people on the other side and just talking about movies too. We’re all on this trip together and have more in common than it sometimes seems.

Rebecca lives in Washington DC with her adorable husband and handsome children. If you saw a woman driving through town with the top down on her Mustang, blasting the Hamilton soundtrack, that was probably her.

Most of all, Rebecca is both humbled that anyone would read what she writes and uncomfortable with speaking about herself in the third person. Thanks for reading!
